Re: Shipping time
The mail, is running SLOW these day. I have had several items shipped in the beginning of last week, priorety that are NOT here yet. and ihave shipped some items out over 2 weeks ago that seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth, that i had to Remake and resend....
Also lately, priorety is takig longer than reg mail, in my experience I dont know what is up with that.... I just mailed a priorety package out and it took a full week to get there...

Re: Shipping time
The ladies at my post office have told me that since everything is automated, you need to make sure you address things neatly, in all caps, with black or dark blue ink; don't put any shiny tape over the address, return address, or postage since the machine might not be able to read it through the reflection; cover or thoroughly mark out any other writing on the package, and be sure to place all labels in standard places. If the automated sorting machines cannot read the package info, it gets kicked out and is dealt with by humans, when and if they get around to it.
That said, there are no guarantees. I priority mailed something across the country to California, meeting all of the above criteria, on Sept. 6; and it was back on my kitchen table, all beat up, on Sept. 20 labeled, "forwarding address expired." Well, the person has been living in that house for years and hasn't moved. The post office lady acted like she never heard of a mistake such as that occurring in the mighty USPS system, but reshipped it and my friend received it two days later. |

Re: Shipping time
It took over two months for a package I mailed to my sister on 7/14 to get "lost" and returned back to me... and she was only 3 hours away. Then there's the issue of some diapers I shipped on 8/15 that still haven't arrived.. if for whatever reason they get returned to me I don't expect them back for a while. I wouldn't put anything past USPS at this point... their service has gotten sucky.
