Re: braxton hicks at 14 wks?

This is my 3rd pregnancy and the first time actually getting braxton hicks. I am now 24 weeks and it's beengoing on for about 3-4 weeks, very strange feeling. I am high risk so at first I started freaking out thinking something was very wrong. Thankfully I figured it out before whining to my ob.

I'm prone to bh and I started them around 12 weeks I think? By 20 weeks I get them regularly (several an hour), and by 32 weeks I get them anywhere from 5/hr to every 5 min...VERY irritating...they don't do anything to ME (but if they are frequent enough, they can start to change some people) just said I have an irritable uterus.

Mine started at 20 weeks with Katie, 16 weeks with Dakota, and 12 weeks this time. I've found though that if I don't get at LEAST 64 oz of water a day (plain water I mean, not just liquids) I get more of them. I too have an irritable uterus.

I had them early on with my 2nd - your uterus actually is contracting since conception, but it's only when your uterus is at a certain size that you actually start feeling it. That varies from person to person.
