yes i have 3 boys and with all of them because i was bfing i could only have ibprophen. i even got 800 mg!!!

if your in a ton of pain you can take tylenol 3 hrs after because they are in seperate medicine groups and that is fine to do as well. that is what i did when my c sections .

Yes, you can! I believe (don't quote me on this, you should ask your doc) that 800 mg (or 4 200 mg ibuprofen pills) is considered prescription strength, and even that is safe to take while nursing.

I just was told by 2 nurses and 2 doctors that it wasn't, and that only Tylenol was okay to take while nursing or and pregnant

Sorry that you were told it wasn't safe. It is safe. Before I was a SAHM, I was a RN at a birth center and we recommended this for nursing mothers who were having pains (mostly afterpains after childbirth). It is NOT considered safe during pregnancy. HTH!
