Safe Spider Repellant?

We don't use pesticides on our yard for obvious reasons. Now that it is getting cooler out though, all the spiders are moving INSIDE. I have a huge fear of spiders and I unfortunatly passed it on to my daughter. I will not use any kind of sprays or repellants the stores have to offer,
Anyone have a recipe for one I can make?

Re: Safe Spider Repellant?

I think I remember reading something about putting walnuts (in the shell) in each corner of a room.... never tried it but am thinking about it again... we've got HUGE wolf spiders in our place in town. Shiver!
