I have an u/s today

just to date the pregnancy. I should be 14w 1d but we want to be sure. Any chance they'll be able to tell the sex yet? I've seen different dates as to when the sex is established and noticeable on an u/s.

Re: I have an u/s today

They might!
I had an ultrasound at 13w6d and she said she wouldn't confirm it but looked like a boy. We all saw "something". I had another US at 24 weeks DEFINITELY confirming his boy parts!

Re: I have an u/s today

I had an ultrasound done at 14 weeks and was told it was a boy, Actually it looked like a boy to us before she ever said. Then we had one at 26 weeks but he was sitting on his feet at first and we couldn't see anything between his legs. He moved his feet down by his head and the tech said she "thought" she saw testicles between his legs. I really wonder, but won't know for sure for a few more days more than likely. I'll let you know how accurate it was after he's born. Well...or she!!

Re: I have an u/s today

They could very possibly tell. I had an u/s to confirm placenta previa and I had a small lift on my uterus (this pregnancy) and I had my u/s at 12 weeks 6 days and the tech told me she was pretty darn sure it was a boy, and has never been wrong with a guess...ever, but she said she generally does not verbalize her guesses until later.

Here is my 12week 6 days BOY shot

I went back at 14 weeks 5 days, and another u/s by my high risk OB's office, tech confirms BOY.

I went back to the specialist again at 16 weeks 5 days, and he's still a BOY

(If you're wondering why I am at the OB's office every second, it's because I have a short cervix)

Re: I have an u/s today

My 14 week US looked a lot like the above posters 12 week one as far as when we saw "something". I mean, it was obvious to me and DH. But the tech said "dont go painting the nursery or telling anyone...it could be...something else" Yeah. Uh huh.
He is all boy in there!!!

Re: I have an u/s today

I have heard it is easier to see boys in u/s early cause of the boy parts but sometimes the girl parts can look boyish....I dont know I wish they could tell at 11wks then I could find out in a couple of days!

Re: I have an u/s today

Well the u/s tech said she wouldn't be able to tell because it was so early After she finished looking at what she "needed" to look at she really did try to see what the s3x was. But she couldn't tell because the legs were crossed and it was so early. I guess I'll just have to be patient for 6 more weeks
