Re: Baked apples??
core apple but do not peel
add a dab of butter(not that margine junk lol)brown sugar & cinnamon inside where you core it set on a baking pan bake on 350-400 until tender **or if you need a more precise recipe try www.allrecipes.com that is a wonderful resource you can even change the serving sizes(with 5 kids i love that feature)

Re: Baked apples??
i also saw a recipe that looked really good. it was pretty much as the PP said, but in addition to the cinnamon & brown sugar, they mixed in some chopped walnuts and a little bit of uncooked oatmeal. i've been wanting to try it, but haven't made it yet. i don't think the proportions really matter very much for something like this, just mix of a couple tablespoons of mix/apple and spoon it in.

Re: Baked apples??
Oh yum! I had one at a friend's last year and they did the cinnemon and brown sugar, but also added granola (cooked with) and ice cream on top.

Re: Baked apples??
Rachael Ray is awesome! I'd check hers out for sure! I usually just make it up as I go, add the obvious ingrediants and bake till tender...I know you can microwave them too but I'm anti-microwave lol.
