Re: Waking every hour to nurse?

Yeah, I do need to get better at the nap thing. I pretty much just don't sleep much. You have to laugh at yourself though...recently, I left my purse in the dressing room at the mall after a quick feeding. Luckily someone turned it in! I lost several of his toys too...guess I didn't realize they all had fallen out of the diaper bag, he he:-)

Been there, done that, and it stinks! It may be a growth spurt, in which case it's probably almost over, or it may be a developmental sleep regression, in which case it could last for a month or more. (Then you might get it again around eight months, blech.) The good news is, most babies do eventually go back to their previous normal, or even a little better. The bad news is, there's not much you can do while you're in it except endure.

Re: Waking every hour to nurse?

Have you seen any teeth yet? My DS started all nighters about a week before his first 2 teeth came in at 5 mos. It lasted for another week after they were solidly through the gums. Now (two weeks later) he's still not back to his "regular" sleep schedule (he was just nursing once a night), but it's much better.

Yep.. we've been there too. I read the book 'the no-cry sleep solution' and it offered some excellent tips on how to cut down on those frequent wakings/feedings. He went from every hour to every 4 hours! Lately I've been trying the tips again because he still wakes about every 4 hours and I'd like to get a full nights sleep! I highly recommend this book!
