I'm ready to start but..
I've read the "how you started, tips" thread but I still have questions.
We have 2 BBLP that I had intended to use with DS but alas, he's 2 and still in dipes.. hopefully that will be done with this summer!ANYWAY.. I tried to cue her to pee and she kinda screamed.. not a big scream, but she wasn't happy. Is this cuz she had no idea what I was doing or because she didn't have to pee? And poops.. OY! She normally poops first thing after she wakes up so I put her on there a few mornings and wouldn't you know she didn't poop those days? I'm just sort of feeling a bit lost. Am I trying to do too much? Should I start with the morning poop and a pee after a nap? What are some pee cues that I should be watching for? Any help would be appreciated.. TIA

Re: I'm ready to start but..
I started cueing my DD when I noticed she was going in her dipe for about 2 weeks before I put her over the potty. You could spend some nakey time for an hour or so a day, just watching for signals and cueing her when you see her going. Or wear her in a carrier with just a prefold/fitted, she will probably fuss a bit before she pees. And without a waterproof layer you won't miss it!
Can't type more, DD needs me.

Does she give any cues when she needs to go?

Re: I'm ready to start but..
Perhaps start with the first pee of the morning (or post-nap) and nurse her while you pee/cue her. That made starting easy for us. The nurse-n-pee!
