Re: Chkn pox vax?
The health clinic trys to tell me there is a chance of getting flesh eating disease while you have chicken pox, LOL! Anyway my straight laced DR was totally fine in not getting it, he said it wasn't neccesary. Like other ppl I will probably look into at a later age if DS doesn't get it naturally. Here is a link from our local health authority on CP, the complications and the vax)

Re: Chkn pox vax?
My eldest son got the vax as a baby and ended up with a very mild case of CP a couple of months ago at age 11 (along with 3 other classmates, all of whom were vaxed.) Like others have said, it seems to be a case of postponing it rather than preventing it. I am not crazy about the idea of boosters for the rest of our lives. I hope I can get my second son exposed to CP when his vax wears off in another year or two.
