Edmonton ladies - can you help me?

This may be an odd request, but I'm desperately seeking a home for my 2 adult cats. Both of my kids appear to be going down a bad lung route (we've already been at the hospital about 6 times for Caius, twice for Amber), and I'm fairly certain that in at least Amber's case, the cats aggravate the issue.

They're 6 and 7, spayed, beautiful amazing, wonderful with children (Caius can pull Kalia around by her tail and at most, she'll meow). But I just need to find them a new home. I've contacted I think every rescue organization out there to no avail..

Can anyone help?

I have two dogs, a cat and two kids -- I'll seriously end up divorced if I bring in another pet, otherwise I'd love to help.
Did you try the http://www3.telus.net/public/chasbaz/ Tizzie Bazalcat shelter for homeless cats? I know it's not well known and they are no-kill. I'm not sure if they take owner surrenders or not.
Good luck. I hope you find a great home for them.

Are you sure the cats aggravate it? I had amazingly bad asthma as a kid, was hospitalized about every 2 weeks, but it was never because of the cats, even though I am allergic to them, the most they cause is a rash if they lick me and some sneezes. Really those cats were my greatest comfort, when I had to do that breathing machine thingie they'd curl up with me. Maybe talk to an allergist or lung specialist or do some googling, and see if that's it for sure, because it would suck to get rid of a family friend if you don't need to!

Thanks ladies. We've spoken to 3 lung specialists now and while it's not for sure, especially in Caius' case, I think it's getting more apparent with Amber that they make her really congested. We found a place that will take them though so now the sadness begins..
