Name that rash!

It's itching her, so the scratches were made by her. It wasn't there this morning, but was there by the time we got her from school.

prickly heat rash? I want to say chicken pox usually starts on the face, but don't quote me on that.

Re: Name that rash!

DD had a rash almost just like this about a month ago. The daycare had me pick her up and she couldn't return w/out a doctors not. I got her into the doctor the next day and it was gone. We still had to go though b/c I had to have the note I was pretty frustrated. IMO I think it was a heat rash that was made worse by her scratching. It was on her belly too.

I think chicken pox starts any place really warm on your body. I was 13 when I got it, and my first pox were on my inner thighs (just in case you wanted to know! ).

I agree with the other posters - probably heat rash. I would call your dr. or nurse, just in case (especially if anything else comes up, like crankiness, fever, etc.). Good luck! I hope it goes away quickly!

She also has diarrhea. No fever. She has her 9-month well-baby visit today anyway, so we'll see. I haven't looked this morning to see if it's still there. She's still sleeping.

Has she been sick? Looks like a viral rash to me.

No, just the congestion/cough. I assumed it was allergies since she hasn't had a fever. Her doc appointment is in a couple hours, so we'll see what he says.
