Re: Any mamas/daddys with ostomy kiddos?

Yes! It's a Hollister adult two piece with the floating flange and centerpoint lock for locking the two pieces together. Since Ellie has a distended tummy from her gigantic abdominal hernia, nothing else but the floating flange will work for her; her tummy isn't flat, so the wafer has to be able to conform to the roundness of her tummy. The flange (the stiff plastic circle) on most other brands can't conform to her tummy because it's on the same piece as the wafer and ends up leaking/pulling off wayyyyyy too soon. Ellie uses the mini-pouch (#3842) and the 1 3/4 inch flange wafer (#8722). They work great, and the mini-pouch is just the right size for her short trunk. We use a rubber band to close it because those plastic clamps are too large and stiff and poke her in the side and belly; ouch! I know, she has a huge stoma for her age, but her general surgeon has never said anything about it, so we don't worry!
Good eye, BTW!!!!!
