Re: Product suggestions to help tame dd's curly hair?

Oh boy do I ever have a curly headed kid...oh I mean he has springs instead of curls...they are SOOOOO tight. Not sure how 'curly' you consider curly...but for us just conditioner does not work.

We wash his hair and then put a product called Organic Root Olive Oil hair lotion in it...http://www.organicrootstimulator.com.../oliveoil.html works GREAT!

Re: Product suggestions to help tame dd's curly hair?

I feel your pain
I have the tightest corkscrew curls, and they are wild this week.
I would strongly recommend the book Curly Girl, by Lorraine Massey. I got mine for christmas from my mom, who had no clue how ro care for my curls and it's taken me my whole life to figure it out. I'm still frustrated, but getting better.
Don't use any shampoo, I have only had shampoo used 3 times in the past two years, it has helped so much. I have a lot less broken and dried curls. I "wash" with conditioner and then spray on leave in conditioners. Don't use pantene, it feels nice but dries it out.
www.naturallycurly.com has a lot of helpfull advise and discussion boards. too.

I agree or wash it less for the natural oils. Or you could use a drop of olive oil.

BTW very cute babe!
