Talking YIPPEEE!

So after a number of setbacks, I got some good news today.

First of all, a little background. I had a miscarriage in October. I'm currently in my 19th week, feeling little critter moving, and everything seems fine. However, earlier in the pregnancy I had to go on progesterone supplements (the vaginal suppositories) and I found out last Wed. that I have gestational diabetes. AARGH! So far I'm seeing great glucose numbers when I test, so hopefully it will all be under control.

I finally realized this afternoon that I've been too busy with the GD stuff to follow up on the quad screen! So I called the office, and they say EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT! YIPPEEE! I don't think I could have dealt with another setback. I mean, everything so far was something I could cope with, but there's a point when you just want some GOOD news and know that you don't need to take another darn test!

Heather, new mom (10/14/08) to a son (our first)! Happily married to my best friend, who waited to become a daddy while I finished grad school.
