Are my eggs still good?

I had some eggs that needed to be used by May 28th. So, yesterday, I boiled them to make deviled eggs. Well, I was babysitting a baby that I COULD NOT put down without him having a meltdown, so I boiled the eggs, let them cool a little, then put them in the fridge. And, after the baby left, I had a horrendous headache and went to bed. So, I didn't do anything with them last night and they are still in my fridge with the shells on them. Are they still good to make deviled eggs with tonight?

Yes! You can boil eggs and keep them in the fridge - no problem!

Yea.. and for future reference, eggs stay good past the expiration date for a LONG time (if you dont boil them). The shell protects them extremely well! I actually was watching something on a news progrm a while back.. when eggs hit the expiration date, lots of places just repackage them in a new carton with a newer expiration date. I routinely use eggs that are expired by a month or more, with no problems. Now once they are boiled, use them within a few days.

Way to test uncooked egg:

Drop it on a bowl of water.. If it floats throw it out! If it sinks its still good!
