Delivery Confirmation at the automated postal center

Hi! I don't have a scale, so I find that the easiest way for me to avoid lines at the PO is to use their apc, which rarely has a line in my retirement-age-people-filled town where they don't like using those type of machines. I want to get DC for everything, but how can I do that using first class shipping at the apc? I don't see an option for it anywhere. Can I ship from paypal at home without a scale (that comes with DC for free, right?) thanks!!

DC w/ PP is .18 if you use First Class or Parcel and free if you use Priority. I'd go up to the APC and use it just as far as it would show you the weight, then you can take it home and do PP.

I've also weighed stuff on grocery store scales. Not the ones in produce, but the ones at the cash registers since they're digital. The cashier whose scale I ask to borrow usually gives me a funny look though. You'd have to convert the decimals part to the ounces, but it's easy (decimal value times 16, then round up to the next whole ounce).

I use the APC all the time and always do DC. Are you marking things as a large envelope or a package?? If the envelope is not a consistent size (the same thickness for the whole package) or more than 1/4" thick it has to be called a package. I have gotten burnt that wya by getting packages that then I owed postage on.

If you enter it as a package the $$ is only a few cents more and you do get a DC option that way!!

You have to select the third option at the APC in order to be able to select delivery confirmation under additional services.

What's this APC machine? Does every PO have one? I'd love to save money on DC b/c I don't have scales at home.

Automated postal center and not every PO has one. Ours has one because its open 24 hrs. I usually just keep track of everything I buy and its weight for future reference.
