Question FuzBunz leaking at the stitching

Does anyone else have this problem? I even get breastmilk poo coming out of the seams where the elastic is sewn in. Other than that, they're not leaking. They are diapers I bought used that seemed to be in good condition...maybe something happened to them. It's not just one or two diapers, and not just from one person. I tried putting them in the dryer once to see if the pul would re-melt around the thread, but it didn't seem to help.
I don't want to scrap my old FB's 'cause other than that they're great, but I also don't want some toxic waterproofing stuff to be sprayed on the outside or to live with leaky diapers.
Hmm.....

my only suggestion would be to dry them on HOT but it seems like you may have already done this.

Yeah, I did dry them on hot, once. I guess I could try it again....

Re: FuzBunz leaking at the stitching

I am not an expert but is it possible that they could have some buildup on them?

I wonder if a good strip followed by a hot dry might help.

And your inserts aren't soaking wet are they?

Well, I don't think they have buildup, at least I haven't been seeing any evidence of it like leaking out the leg holes or anything. I don't soak them at all.
This leaking is actually coming through the pul where it is stitched at the elastic.

It could also be that your liners are bunching some. I have found that if the liner is not touching both sides we have wicking problems.

hmmm we don't usually use liners, just inserts. It just seems strange to me that there would be any leaking at all through pul...
oh well.
thanks for the thoughts, mamas.
