I didn't find block feeding to necessarily compromise supply if you feed frequently and you block feed as a temporary measure to see if it clears up a problem-at least IME. DS is wonderfully chunky at 7.5 mos and still EBF. My lactation consultant had me block feed to help clear up reflux and green (not frothy) poop. She's been a LC for 20 yrs, so I trusted her opinion. I never tried to schedule feeding, however...we still feed on demand which is fairly frequent (at least every couple hours or even hourly)-including overnight....this frequency may not work for everyone.

I don't think I would block feed if I wasn't nursing on demand or nursing frequently.

My LO was/is nursing every 1-2 hours around the clock so I had to trouble keeping up my supply!
