Question Holy Biting Baby! Help.

My LO has two top teeth and two bottom. He just loves to chomp my nipple. Man it hurts! Any advice for helping him to stop?

Yep, my mom told me to just latch my daughter off let her fuss for a second and than latch back on, if it continues use a stern face and say no latch off and close up shop for 1 min. Baby's learn better by facial exp. than a stern harsh voice. I only had to do this 1 time and she never did it again.
Good Luck

Another wise mama gave me the same advice yesterday and I doubted that it would work. Hearing this from you to...I'm gonna give it a try! Thanks!

Re: Holy Biting Baby! Help.

Sometimes pulling baby close so they can't breath for a second kind of suprises them.

Sometimes stopping the feed works.

Sometimes a loud No works for some babies

Sometimes a tug on the hair works, they think ouch, bitting hurts my head, lol!

Good luck

Re: Holy Biting Baby! Help.

yeah, pushing the baby into your breast (so they can't breathe very well) works well to get them off quickly when they bite. And w/ my previous 2 I would say "No biting" and then stop feeding for awhile. Let them try again and if they bite, that feeding is over. Worked great w/ my first, took a little longer w/ my second (stubborn one).
