kim, mine were the same way. i don't have an older child though, so i imagine that is reeaally hard. they eventually got better about the car, as long as it was moving!! mine didn't like the bouncies or the swings at first, but as the got older they tolerated them better. they began to like their play mat/gym thing too. i put them on the floor a lot more than in 'containers'. but all of this didn't start to happen until they were a few months old. you'll get there.
