recipe question??

when you buy a cookbook and in the recipe it says; to use 1 cup of pancake mix... does it mean the PLAIN pancake mix or does it mean pancake mix after its mixed with the ingredients on the pancake mix box?

the pancake mix box says i need to add eggs and some milk to it...

do i just add the pancake mix plain? or the eggs and milk mixed into the mix?

heres the recipe:

Re: recipe question??

You use it powdered.

ETA: the ones I've used just say add water, which is probably what this recipe called for. I would still add the egg, substitute the milk for water, and then add the puree.
Left DS because of lack of virus control.

Re: recipe question??

If the pancake mix you have says to add milk & eggs then add them. the only difference between making the pancake mix on the box & the one in the recipie is that you are adding some puree & spice so you need to follow what is on the box & then add the extras in the recipe. Do NOT add the extra cup of water though. This recipe looks like it was made with pancake mix where you only add water, the eggs are dehydrated & part of the powder. I would cut back on the amount of liquid you add since the puree will have some liquid in it too.
