Who has a heavy wetter and uses prefolds?

I like prefolds because they are cheaper, but my dd seems to pee through them really fast. I really want to make them work. I got GMD ones.

you need a good doubler. A hemp one would be good. I have some I really like from cloth diaper mama. They are fleece topped too so its nice for a stay dry option

When I use pf's or flats on my toddler, I add in a hemp terry doubler.

Heck, if I use PFs at all I just use hemp ones or fleece-covered ones. (I have a fleece-covered hemp one. If I wasn't so scared of PFs and if I didn't stink at folding them, my whole stash would be fleece-covered Thirsties hemp PFs. They last for hours and long naps.) I prefer Little Lions flats with a MF towel doubler in the origami fold.

I have a very heavy wetter, If I use PFs they are always Bamboo.. way more absorbant than the cotton ones and don't result in rashes either...

I tri-fold--then fold the front over again in the wet zone--making it 6 layers deep, and lay in a BSWW cover for my super heavy wetter.

My 2 month old can literally SOAK a Goodmama fitted, yet wears a bamboo prefold w/ a hemp/bamboo doubler with no probs My 2yo I use some toddler IPFs w/ hemp doublers and they work well for him, but he's just a heavy wetter...not a SUPER heavy wetter like the little one

We do. We use GMD's and change often. If i need her to go more then an hour or so we add a doubler or use a fitted. Prefolds are our around the house dipe.

I have two heavy wetters and we almost always use gmd prefolds. We usually use a doubler and I always change them as soon as they pee. I use our fleece embelished prefolds that I made them also.
