Re: Am I Crazy? Thinking of Selling off all Wool

It's so hot here, that I just bought MORE wool. To avoid having to put her in regular clothes. And I'm knitting like a madwoman!

It was all bought new by me and not getting any love. Should I sell it off and just do fitteds with no covers or keep them and start using them. Just days like today where its so hot and humid I doubt keeping them. We usually only use the pockets when we go out.
I say sell and buy something you can use!

Yes! He's using fitteds now. I basically banned pockets, and it's gone okay after the initial whining!

I'd keep it, especially if you love your stash. Wool will keep, in a cedar chest, or something similar, so you can wait it out until the next one, if you want. And it will get cool again. I promise... Just wait about about 4 months...

I think if you sold it all, you'd regret it. Maybe just keep your favorites? Or the ones she could still fit into in the fall...

Re: Am I Crazy? Thinking of Selling off all Wool

If you have a lot I would keep your favourites and what you use the most and sell the rest to get more fitteds (hee hee, if you need more). That's what I did, I kept my wool soakers, sold my least fave shorties (well, technically they were awesome shorties, but my least fave b/c I couldn't find tops to match and that was annoying ) I don't regret my decision, and I bought more fitteds with the money so that dd can roam coverless around the house. As pp said, pul is sooooo hot, I took dd out yesterday (it was like 36 C. out) and so humid I felt like I couldn't breathe, she was in a BG and when I took her out of the car seat she was soooo sweaty. The next time we went out I kept her in wool and a fitted and she wasn't sweaty at all, so much better! I'm actually thinking about getting more wool! So...don't sell everything, and don't forget, as pp said, the weather fluctuates, dd is wearing wool around the house today because it's significantly cooler than yesterday
