do you/can you make "odd"amount of formula

so the can only gives measurements in even numbers (2oz of water to 1 scoop) My DS need just about 5 oz now. 4 isn't enough and 6 is too much and I end up dumping 1oz. Can I make 5 oz. by just using 2 and 1/2 scoops to 5 oz. of water?

We do that all the time, since DD usually eats around 5 oz at each feeding

Re: do you/can you make "odd"amount of formula

I just used half a scoop for odd amounts. Just estimate it, like "that looks like half a scoop" KWIM?

The company also wants you to waste formula by telling you that 1 hour rule.. I only JUST found out from ladies on here that you can leave it out longer. I mean i've done it before... but now I don't feel as guilty about giving her formula that had been sitting out for a bit.

Re: do you/can you make "odd"amount of formula

I used to make enough for a couple bottles in my tupperware shaker then just prefill bottles or store in the shaker in the fridge and fill bottles as needed. That way you aren't guessing about the concentration, or wasting. HTH!

thanks for all the tips I really prefer to mix the bottles as needed so I don't have to warm it up or travel with bottles cold, so I think I will just do 1/2 scoop by eye..I always get so nervous and want to follow the directions exactly..but hey it isn't an exact science LOL!!!
