Favorites for Baby led weaning?

Hey!
We just decided to go ahead with BLW since DD hates purees. I have just been leaving them thick when I mix them up but she is still chewing and grabbing the spoon.
Yesterday we did broccoli's and I thought she was going to have a fit! She loved it and had no problem shoving it in her mouth
What else is something good and easy to have on hand? She doesn't like fruit as much as veggies.

I am wondering as well. DD just started with some home made purees but I really think she just wants to EAT. She goes nut when we eat and on more then one occasion has grabbed something I was eating and tried to eat it her self

We have just started BLW but so far I have given her: sweet potatos and squash cut into spears, a stick of toast, half a tortilla, a slice of tomato and a leaf of lettuce. She also grabbed a pickle of DH's plate when he wasn't looking and REALLY enjoyed that! haha

I give Anna thick "sticks" or slices of food so she can hold onto it and bite/gnaw pieces off herself. So far she has had broccoli, banana, sweet potato, avocado, apples, squash, and carrots.

Once she turns 9 months I am going to give her what ever we are eating for dinner.

I meant to get peaches at the store today for her, but I forogt.

Re: Favorites for Baby led weaning?

We just give dd whatever we are having, within reason. She is 11 months but only has two teeth. She loves garlic mashed potatoes, little shreds of chicken or meat, any veggies really roughly pureed (lots of chunks), small pieces of whole wheat bread or pasta.

She also hated purees, so we just gave up on those. Sometimes she gets her own little bowl, but often I just put bits of food on her tray from my plate.
