Pump shield sizes??

How do you know what size shield you should be using on your pump. Anyone know how to measure it? Does it go by bra size or something? TIA!!

and trial & error. They're only like 6$ I think, so I bought 27mm and 30mm, because the 24mm were chafing and not getting much milk. 27mm was comfortable & got good milk, the 30mm were too large and got no milk.

It's one of those things you can only see when you are pumping. If your nipples are rubbing too much on the sides and you are not getting a good spray than your shields are too small. I pumped for 2 1/2 months with the wrong size before finding this out. Pumping is much more comfortable now!

except I pumped for over 3 months before figuring it out. I actually found that I needed a SMALLER size. Wow it makes a huge difference.

Yup! If your nips touch the sides, then you need a bigger size.
