BC while BFing - WWYD?

Have you tried temping to see if there is a pattern?

Yep - there's not. I suspect it's also because I can't get a good consistent time going for my waking temp. DS was an awesome sleeper until he hit 4 months, and since then he's been all over the place. Some nights he sleeps 8 hours, other nights (like last night!) he is up every two hours. Makes it hard to get reliable numbers.

I 3rd 4th 5th this! The only reason I'm preggers w/ #3 is b/c we knew I was ovulating and DTD anyway, but used a film....yeah, those films don't work But NFP does!!

hmmmmmm... i have never been under that impression. i am currently bfing my second baby - neither time did i have any problems with tracking before PP AF arrived

there are different NFP methods
honestly, i only took my morning temp for the first 6 months; from that point on i have always went by CM characteristics. every mama i know IRL that uses NFP only does CM b/c tempting at the same time each day is nearly impossible with lo's and none of them have had surprises.

I recommend NFP. Once I got the hang & trusted it, I loved it. It was highly effective for us while I BF #2. The only reason I got pg again so soon is that DH honestly/actually "forgot" the fertility conversation we had - right before we went upstairs to "lay down". He wasnt ready for another - I was - but i told him it was a "RED" day and he forgot -"oops" - but he thinks now that it was his subconscious wanting another baby.... But we can pinpoint to the date that we conceived because it was a fertile day that we were aware of!

BTE_ we did mucous-only method and that was easier timewise - u chart all the time, etc.

I know everyone is different but I was on the mini pill and didn't have any problems with my supply at all. I also am not very good at taking it at the same time or even every day I didn't have any problems and my doc even said that if I wanted to I could keep taking that instead of switching back to the regular pill so I did still no suprises babies. As soon as I stopped taking it I got pregnant.
