Two different milks

During the day I keep YDD on the left and ODD on the right boob. At night I let YDD switch back and forth b/c ODD sleeps through the night. Well YDD has been spiting up A LOT first thing in the morning. This morning she woke at 6am spit up for an hour and a half and then feel asleep. We went through two pjs and three blankets. During the day she doesnt spit up at all. Well as I was going back to sleep I was trying to firgure out why she was spiting up so much, going through what I had eaten and such and thats when I remembered reading in Adventures in Tadem nursing about Kangaroo being able to make two different milks, older milk for the older baby and newborn milk for the older baby. Made me wonder if the milk in my right boob was different than the milk in my right and thats whats making her spit up?? I guess it could also be the laying down and nursing but I like the first reason better.

Wow. Yeah, I would think that might be it. It shouldn't be the laying down, because when DS was getting a lot of formula still, when he'd nurse laying down at night was the only time he didn't spit up.

I'm not experienced with tandem nursing but I've read that the milk changes as baby gets older. But why not switch back and forth during the day too?
