Low carb and high protein. It is important to protein lean muscle mass as we lose weight, especially the older we get.

Re: Does anyone low carb anymore?
I'm not a fan of the low carb thing at all. It makes me tired and grumpy. I need my carbs, albeit the right ones. I try and stay away from lots of sugar and white carbs and stick to sweet potatoes, whole grains, and ww pastas on occasion. Everyone needs them and i think going no/low carbs is super unhealthy.

Re: Does anyone low carb anymore?
I'm a low carber from way back. It works for me like nothing else! I'm also allergic to wheat; it does horrible things to me.
I was able to get pregnant after five years of secondary infertility (we lost our first child to miscarriage) through low carbing. I don't have PCOS, but insulin issues wreak havoc on the endocrine system and I was no exception. I'm now up 20 pounds since my little guy was conceived, and know I have to get back down to what I call "fertile weight" to get pregnant again. That's also the weight I was when I conceived my first child. I really believe lowering carbs is a diet of hope...... Anyway, so I'm only eating green/high water/high fiber carbs-asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, green beans, mushrooms, cucumbers, a little tomato, keeping carbs under 20 a day. Doing great so far.
