I had another one at 8 wks. They think the first was just pp bleeding but I am sure the second wasnt. Then I am just finishing up again. I am not sure if it has to do with the mini pill as well. I have been on that since 7 wks pp.

My MIL is mother of 11.
She says breastfeeding doesn't mean a thing for birth control - even if you don't get a period, you can still get pregnant.

Same chances as not breastfeeding, I say.
It is not birth control.

Ahem. Kindly read the full thread before giving inaccurate advice.

(yeah, I'm having a hormonal day )

You're right. Breastfeeding alone is not birth control. LAM, however, IS, for 6 months, and it is simply breastfeeding within a set of guidelines. Saying same chances as not breastfeeding is very inaccurate, as the studies have shown.

I have two boys 14 months apart that can attest to EBF not being great birth control. And I followed aaaaaallllll the rules for LAM to a T.

I went 14mths with ds2 before I got ppaf and even now, my cycles are anovulatory. (ie I'm not ovulating). these first 2 cycles have been very light, only 2 days of spotting. I can feel my body gearing up for the "real thing" and am on cd28 of my 3rd ppaf. dh and I want a third though so the wait is killing us I think it is just different with every mom and every birth. with ds1, cycles returned at 6 weeks.

if you really dont want to get pregnant now, i would just use a condom. i personally wouldnt want 11 months apart and would not want to chance anything. heck, i wouldnt want 16 months apart, lol, but thats just me.

I had 3 kids that way. I also had no period and went straight into pregnancy, usually people have a period first but not me, LOL, my doc was shocked every time.
