Switching from Dr Brown's to BPA Free ?'s.. Updated! Exchanged BPA for Credit/Cash...

Hey mamas. Ds is almost 4 months. He has severe silent reflux and a MSPI.. as well as an uncoordinated suck/swallow at times...
We've been using Dr. Browns slow flow bottles Narrow neck for several months with sucess (helps the gas)...
anyway we are about to switch to natural flow and fashion tint gerber bpa free bottles...
I'm tired of the Dr. Brown's parts and them leaking etc.
Anyone used Dr. brown's nipples on gerber bottles? Is it ok (without the system)... He likes those nipples and does not like the gerber ones (silicone too).... Thanks mamas!

Hey I'm actually just wanting to use the Dr. Brown's nipples (since I have them and he doesn't like the gerber nipples) with the gerber bottles. ($2.60 for 3 with silicone nipples at target)... so much cheaper than new Dr. Brown's bottles...
Toys r us doesn't give credit on exchanged bottles do they? Do you have to have a receipt?

Thanks!

I use Dr brown nipples with gerber bottles. the only problem I have noticed is that he can collapse the nipples (level 3) but with the Dr brown system it isn't a problem. in the middle of the night I was half asleep and just holding the bottom of the bottle and after a whille I noticed that he has actually collapsed the bottle so bad that the bottle was practically flat! I tried to loosen the ring but the nipple got sucked in completely and turned inside out.
to stop the bottles from leaking you need to add less liquid. since the gerber 8oz bottles are the size of the 4oz brown ones.

basically you have to use less liquid and a faster flow nipple if your baby has a strong suck.

Re: Switching from Dr Brown's to Gerber BPA free ?'s on nipples etc...

YAY! Thank you. I was able to return all my bottles bought at Target USED without packaging and without a receipt.. they looked up my receipt by my CC...
and then the sippy cups (6 of them) and the rest of the bottles (A TON!) I was able to take to ToysRUS and they took them all back, gave me full instore credit for retail prices, and I was able to exchange them for ALL NEW Dr. Brown's BPA Free bottles....
So I got back 12 brand new BPA 8oz Dr. Brown's bottles, and $95 in store credit, and $75 back in cash/back on the CC from target.
AWESOME! We had a full stash of about 3 other expensive bottle brands from trying to find what ds could handle... and then our stash of currently used Dr. Browns...
I wanted the gerber's to work, but ds had MAJOR Horrible gas with them.

Thanks mamas for your advice/input! I'm VERY happy!
