Re: Green & Thrifty...Making Your Own Detergent!

I use the laundry soap for all of my clothes and we love it!

I've washed HHOS, BGs, and FBs in the diaper detergent with no problems at all!

Re: Green & Thrifty...Making Your Own Detergent!

Actually, I posted about that in the "notes"....Fels Naptha is super harsh soap and I purposely changed the recipe to avoid it!

It bothered me that that the ingredients aren't listed on the FN bar, and here's a link with more info....

Does Dr. Bronner's make a non-liquid soap?

Wow! I never knew! So, have you ever used Dr.Bronner's bar soap for these recipes? I can get that locally, I love Dr. B- I have never entertained the idea of using it towards a laundry soap

I've used both the liquid and bar Dr. Bronners with equally good results. The bar requires chopping and processing, but the liquid requires clump breakup...so you need to work a bit either way

Do you think Ivory soap or something like it would work as well because I don't have a Kroger's...
