Just wondering if it was ok to use A&D ointment with our CPF's.... I heard you weren't supposed to with Fuzzi Bunz, so DS has been in sposies while we try and clear this massive rash up, but I just got some diaper covers so I didn't know if I could use the prefolds. Thanks!

Re: Can I use diaper rash cream with CPF's?
I always have with no problems. I don't worry about staining on my prefolds since they are my workhorse dipes.

Thanks! I've never used prefolds, and now that I have the covers I want to! Off to go change a diaper!
*Never thought I'd be happy about changing diapers, LOL!* |

Re: Can I use diaper rash cream with CPF's?
i wouldn't worry too much about it using it with the prefolds. however i have heard that you can end up with a funky stink b/c of the cod oil in most mass-produced diaper creams. sposies are definately not the way to go when there's a rash either though b/c they actually can cause a rash all by themselves b/c of the chemicals in the dipe that are released when they pee. i would think that if you add those to a bum that's already rashed that could really make one worse! another thing, if you do end up with a stink from the rash cream i've heard that sportwash gets that out.
personally this is just all info i've heard (the only one i know that is a fact is the chemical part for the sposie lol). i haven't actually gotten the chance to cloth diaper yet, waiting on ds#3 to start that! good luck mama! one awesome diaper rash cream is Arbonne, ask me more! my ds #1 used to get horrible rashes that would take us weeks to get rid of, i put this stuff on one of his more horrible ones and the rash was gone in one change! |
