Sorry. I can't find the thread from the other day about the Hep B vaccination given to newborns in the hospital. I was doing some research today and found this:

and thought I'd share it. I already have it printed out, signed, copied and I am giving it to my OB on Friday!

We just told them we didn't want it. Worked well enough for us. lol.

I had it in my birthplan, but I just told the nurses to be sure and there was never a problem. Of course here in TX I think it is easier to refuse things anyway. I also only let ds out of my sight once and that was when he was first born and they wisked him away to the nursery to check his breathing. I was having some complications of my own and couldn't go, but dh was with him the entire time. I didn't want ot take any chances.

My hospital was GREAT when we told them we didn't want the Hep B vaccine. They already had a form there for me to sign, and I did that at preregistration. The only person who questioned me was the nurse who was just curious because her DD refused it for her son too.

When I asked the OB about how the hospital was about it he had no clue.

Everyone has their issues, lol.
