Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....
16 1/2 months here...no end in sight (not a bad thing). We plan to start ttc #2 after ds's second birthday. I am hoping he will be nightweaned then. He still needs his nursies. He has allergies, so we are limited on food (no dairy or eggs). I would really worry about his nutrition if it weren't for that mama's milk making up for any nutritional deficits! I never thought I would nurse past a year! My how things change!

Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....
I BF'd Dylan until a week before his 2nd birthday. Weaned cause I was 8m+ pregnant and had PTL.

Re: Extended Breastfeeders post here....
DS is 16 months and still nursing atleast twice a day when i'm at school and much more when i'm home all day.
After 16 months no one has ever made any comments about my nursing in public UNTIL mothers day (this past sunday) when an older woman in church sitting behind us actually mumbled under her breath (oh my god...)! I was amazed, dumbfounded and a little crushed... Not even when I was new to it and certainly flashing a few unexpected onlookers did i get any sort of comments! What doesn't stop us from BFing only makes us stronger, right? Congrats to all the BFing moms! marisa
