Cover question

for PUL covers i usually use one a day or so, i change my man quite often, and he doesn't usually have very messy bm's so it stays clean for a while...i have a 1.5yo and i use about 4 covers max...and some don't get used...when he was younger though i used 6 or so hth

I'll reuse a PUL cover. I let it dry inbetween if it's wet. If needed, I'll hand wash and let dry.

Wool I wash if it has a poop on it or less often, like 1x a week..

Fleece covers * Can* be relatively waterproof - they'll have compressions leaks, but if the right (heavy) weight of fleece is used.

Yes- on the diaper parts you want to be absorbant, do not use any additives, straight detergent, with nothing in it. I use washing soda and simple green, that's it.

What I tell people about fleece is: "fleece is fickle." Some people have problems with it, some don't. It's about 50/50. The people who don't tend to be able to use all fleece, polar, alpine, MM, etc.... It does have the danger of compression wicking, that's the main problem people seem to have, I think. That's when your kiddo is sitting too long and it will go through the fibers. So a fleece AIO will work for many people, but not for some. It works great for us!
