Kirkland Brand Formula? Any comments?
has anyone researched the Kirkland brand formula?
We've been using Organic, but the Kirkland formula would take us from $90/week to $30/week in formula costs.

Re: Kirkland Brand Formula? Any comments?
store brands are supposed to be the same as name brand (meet the same government standards...for what it's worth!)
It is my understanding that in most case the store brands are actually made by the name branders in the same factory.

Re: Kirkland Brand Formula? Any comments?
When DS was an infant, I had to supplement. He had colic in the beginning, but once he got over that and could take any kind of formula, we used kirkland. I had to problems with it.

Re: Kirkland Brand Formula? Any comments?
I was using Enfamil that I bought from Costco until I read an article about how brand name formula is such a rip off. Formula is mandated to meet government standards. So a few months ago when money was tight I made the switch. I wasn't able to slowly combine/mix the formulas to switch her over, we just switched. It changed her BMs for several weeks as her body got used to the new formula but now everything is back to normal. My SIL said that as far as the nutrients in it, it is closest to Enfamil, but it has the fine powder consistency of Similac. She also uses the Kirkland too!

Re: Kirkland Brand Formula? Any comments?
I had to supplement on my last baby as I just couldn't make enough milk (old breasts), and we used the Kirkland brand. It was the same as the name brand samples that they gave us, just cheaper.

Re: Kirkland Brand Formula? Any comments?
I also found the Kirkland to be super frothy! DS wasn't fond of it either.
