It wouldn't work for me. DD would still get on the chair but would be stuck under the table.

That was the worst stage for my youngest. She would even slide chairs around the house just to climb up on counters and stuff. We finally resorted to bungee cords. 2 or 3 linked together around the chairs and table which we had to remove for meals. It worked, we had them for about 3 months and then decided to try it again without and she left them alone from then on.
