Hi Canadian mamas, can you help me with shipping? :-)

Are there cheap(er) ways to send a heavy box to Canada? I checked the USPS calculator and it's telling me that a 5lb box will cost me $30 and that's a lot. The website also says a flat rate box is the same amount. But maybe I'm getting bad info.....????? Anyone have any input? Or maybe you can help me find a better way to mail it!

BTW, it's clothing.

Thx

I *think* if your package is under 4 lbs, you can ship it First Class International, which is much cheaper. Maybe you could split the items into two packages?

I find the websites quote much more than they actually cost, at least with Cananda Post. It's never quoted me under 15 dollars, but the most expensive thing I've ever shipped to the tstates was 23, that was with 10 dollar insurance.
