I have sourdough bread...

...what can I do with it?! I have a recipe for chicken sandwiches that uses it, but I don't have - and don't want to run out and get - chicken breasts. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Re: I have sourdough bread...

We use it for all sorts of things. I love various cold cut combinations on it, or a BLT (we've been eating these like crazy with our ripe garden tomatoes), chicken salad sandwiches, tuna sandwiches or tuna melts, maybe even sourdough french toast (we make sourdough pancakes and they're awesome) . . . a bread bowl & dip . . . sliced and served as a side with soup or pasta . . .

Enjoy!

we really like a grilled sandwhich that is on sourdough bread - turkey, thin sliced granny smith, provolone (or swiss) and baby spinach - its actually really good and we serve it with a little italian (or other) dressing for dipping

Re: I have sourdough bread...

slice it in 1" slices throw it on the grill or broiler to toast it on both sides and dip both sides in clairified butter with lots of garlic sauted in it. its sinful on the grill and makes one to die for french dip or tritip sandwich bread...drooling just thinking about it
