Re: Which lovey do you use?

I didn't plan to in particular, but we ended up using this luxe blanket that I got as a present from BRU.

My 17 mo DD asks for it now when she goes down for a nap or at night. I am planning on going to get another one soon. It is still as soft as the day I got it!

Re: Which lovey do you use?

Oscar has a Kaloo "Doudou" bunny similar to this one. He's been sleeping with it since he was about two months old. Its really soft and just the right size for snuggling. When I ease him off the breast, he only fusses for about two seconds....until I can hand him his beloved "bun" and he can smush it into his face. He likes to stroke the bunny ears and he also loves the knots in the corners because they are great for teething. Some mornings, the thing is totally soggy because he's been gnawing at it all night. Which reminds me of another good point, I've machine washed and dried the thing several times (on "delicate") and it cleans up great.

I am Adam's lovey too I keep trying to give him different blankies but no go so far. I think I may try to make something similar to what you have found to see if that will work for him.

I have a taggie, a pooh bear, a my banky ricky raccoon, several small blankets with different fabrics, small soft animals, the list goes on. DS doesn't like any of them!

Re: Which lovey do you use?

My son carries around the soft fluffy robe that I wore all the time when we brought him home from the hospital. I didn't plan for that to be his lovey, but he got super attached to it very quickly, and carries it around the house all day long. I probably need to find an identical one for when this one wears out.

Re: Which lovey do you use?

hah I love reading all the different types of loveys kids are using. A robe??? How does he haul it around?? Isn't it bigger than your son??

Sounds like I could spend lots of money and still not have a lovey for my LO. I'm trying a couple of other things we have, but so far not working. Sigh.

Oh oh we need a NCSS support thread!!! I'm so nervous but we are starting tonight.

Thanks so much for all the great ideas, guys!!
