Best way to get payment for prooducts/ how do I PM someone?

So I'm not new to DS, but I have never sold anything before, only purchased. What is the best way to receive payment for your products? I have seen a lot of people asking for pay-pal payments, but I have no idea how to set this up.

Also, I seemed to have forgotten how to send someone a PM. Can someone help me out on this front, too?

Thnaks so much ladies! Looking forward to your assistance, since I am obviously technically challenged.

To send a pm, click on the mamas user name and a screen will come down. Slide your arrow down to the "send a private message" option. Click on that and you should be able to go from there.

You can easily set up a paypal account. Just go to www.paypal.com and the site will walk you through the process. Once you set up an account, you can start receiving payments. You will need to link a checking or savings account also. This will take a few days, but it will make your account verified.

Aecryan or anyone-
what's the difference between the pp cc and other forms of paypal (did I intial that right?) Seems like if you get one type of paypal it charges you money every transaction and others don't... I'm new to selling and wanna start that up...

A credit card payment through paypal will charge the seller (the one recieving the money) a % of the money...I think it's around 4%...someone correct me if I'm wrong please! If you send using funded pay pal (which means using money that is in your paypal account already or if you have a bank account attached to your paypal) it wont charge them if they have a personal account. Now if they have a business account it takes the 4% out anyway, no matter if it's funded or not.

Did that make any sense? lol

Yep, kristen is right. There is a lot of threads in transaction and feedback forum about this. If we aren't making any sense, you might do a search in that forum.

Personal account-
no fees for funded payments (out of pp balance or from bank account)
fees for credit card payments ($.30 plus 4.9% of the balance)
personal accounts can only accept 5 cc transactions per year

Premier/business account
Fees for funded and cc payments
Unlimited cc transactions

I have two pp accounts. My personal account is my email address and is linked to my checking account. My premier account is my husband's email address and is linked to my savings account. When I am selling an item, I ask the buyer how they plan to pay. If it is funded, then I give them my personal account address. If it is cc, then I give them my premier account address.

Clear as mud? LMK if you have anymore questions and I will try to help.
