My mom has done this before. You are put in "jail" (for my mom it was at Outback and she got free lunch) and you have to raise a certain amount of bail money (donations) to get out. The donations can be sent by internet or given at the location. The link should allow you to donate to her and tell you her goal and how close she is to making it. Just a fun way to raise money for a great cause.

Yup, they do this locally every year. You can send someone to "jail" at the mall. They pay so much per minute with a max of 20minutes. It used to be unlimited time.lol

The pastor at my church did this too. He raised several thousand dollars.

Re: Have you been to Time for Change website?

Okay, so I have to brag a little bit. MDA is a charity that is very close to me, I spent several years as a camp counselor (before kids) and I now continue to help them out with different fundraisers. This past March, my husbands fire department did a Lock-Up and raised over $60,000.00!!! They doubled their goal and have now been added to one of the top Lock-Up districts in Missouri. I am so proud of everyone that helped accomplish that. So if you ever hear of anyone being "in jail" help them out if you can, of course that is if they are in MDA's or another charity jail, not the local county's.
