Thawed BM in cereal.....

Okay DS is nearly 7 months and i'm starting to let him eat some solids.... i was thinking of using some stored frozen BM i have in the freezer to mix in some of his organic cereal, but i wasnt sure how long previously frozen thawed milk was okay to store and use????

I mean i KNOW when its put into a bottle it needs to be used w/in 24 hours, is it the same for using it as an ingredient.... i have my milk stored in 6 ounce bags, and to thaw a whole bag for just an ounce seems wasteful... so what do you all think? Leave it frozen or thaw and keep refrig. till i use it all in his cereal (3 - 4 days)?????

Hmm. I always thought thawed milk is supposed to be used within 24 hours...at least that's what I do. I know this is too late for the bags you've already frozen but could you freeze smaller quantities for DS's cereal (1-2 oz per bag) in the future?

We tried it tonight too! I took a bit thawed and mixed it with organic rice cereal. Thawed its OK for 24 hours and do not refreeze.
