Car Seat question about rfing in convertibles
Hi Mamas (and Dad's
)!My 2.5 month old is going to be outgrowing his infant seat (a Century) soon. He is already on the top slots and he will be 20lbs likely by Christmas. I am going to buy him a new car seat, probably an EddieBauer or Cosco. I will also be getting him a CDN roundabout so he can be in it longer (though still not as long as say a MA in the States )My question is this... is it safe to put him in a convertible carseat before he can sit up on his own? I know I won't have much choice at the rate he's growing I just need some reassurement. Do they recline at all? Thanks!

Re: Car Seat question about rfing in convertibles
The RA and MA recline pretty nicely, actually.
Ds had to go RF in his roundabout at 3 months, he was so fat! LOL The Alpha Omega reclines well too, if you remove the bottom base part.

Re: Car Seat question about rfing in convertibles
We used a rearfacing Marathon at three months. Delaeny was too tall for her infant seat. It reclined great! Thay are actually made to be used from birth so it shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Car Seat question about rfing in convertibles
I have a RF Roundabout and my DD reclines nicely-a 45 degree angle. She doesn't seem to mind and is 16 months old.

Re: Car Seat question about rfing in convertibles
my son has an eddie bauer, it goes to 100 lbs, it reclines some, the thing i dont liek is the fact the 5 pt harness is to be removed once the child hits 40 lbs, so they will need to use the seatbelt form the car, this scares me since i seen that video someone posted not long ago, im not sure what were going to do since the britax are soo expensive

Re: Car Seat question about rfing in convertibles
If you need help with recline drop me an email. It's usually easy to fix.
Zane was just a bit under 3 months when he went into his Britax.
