Re: My daughter hated my breast and my son wouldn't pee.
Great job!! I love to hear success stories. As many women do, I really struggled to BF my twins. Like one of the previous posters, mine were almost exclusively on bottles for the first 6 wks due to prematurity and I had to "wean" them to the breast. My DS was given formula in the NICU dispite my instructions not to. My DH took it to them EBM 20 minutes after a failed nursing attemp and they said, "oh, we gave just gave him formula." What!! I told them not to!!! Like you "forcing" yours to take the breast, I finally had to deny mine bottles and do the same. It's been a struggle for me all along with mastistis several times, a yeast infection that won't quit, and supply issues. Through it all, I am stubborn and determined to go to at least a year. So many people are under the misconception that BFing comes easily to everyone. I know it does to some, but for some of us, it's a daily struggle and we have to be truely committed. Good for you!
