Question PO question to all sellers!!!!!

Experienced sellers, you have to help me out. How do you pack things, where do you buy package material and can you get DC if you send first class?
My PO is not very helpfull. And I just paid $5.75 to send a pail liner. With these costs it is not worth selling anything!

Re: PO question to all sellers!!!!!

I have bought polymailers from here and on eBay. I print my postage from PP (I bought a postal scale from Walmart for about $22), so DC on first class mail is only $.18. If you go to the post office, you can absolutely get DC, it's just $.75 for it.

Re: PO question to all sellers!!!!!

I bought my polymailers on amazon.com. You get 100 for $6 or so. Then I'll sell what is left over when I'm done. I discovered that DC is only .18 on PP too, and it's so convenient. I also just discovered that my digital kitchen scale (the one I use to measure my food so I'm not getting too much) works just great to get weights for packages too! Last night, I was sending a big box and couldn't see how much the thing weighed, so I put a little bowl on it, zeroed it out, and then put the box on top. Then I printed the lable (postage is cheaper if you buy it online as opposed to buying it at the post office too), and then took it to the post office. They verified that it was exactly the same. And they said that they could always add more postage if I had miscalculated. I hope this helps!

First class is under 13oz. Over 13 oz, it goes Parcel Post which takes forever, so I usually send it Priority for over 13oz, since it's really not much more expensive and DC is free through PP with priority.

That's what it says if you try to ship through PP.

Re: PO question to all sellers!!!!!

Just wanted to add that you can get a great deal on a scale on ebay. I got mine, which works up to 35 lbs for around $15 shipped. I get my polymailers there too.
