Does anyone know of a good homemade pretzel recipe. I tried last year and they came out awful, hours of prep/cook time and they ended up in the garbage. I need something foolproof. Thanks!

Re: Homemade pretzel recipe...Anyone?
her is one we use and the kids like it..you can dip in butter and roll in cin/sugar to be like Auntie Anne's as well! Do it when they are still warm from the oven..
1 1/2 cup warm water 1 envelope actrive dry yeast 4 cups flour 1 Tbsp honey or brown sugar 1 tsp salt 1 egg coarse sea salt or kosher salt set oven to 425 mix water, yeast and honey and let sit for 5 minutes mix salt and flour then add yeast mixture and stir..turn onto floured board and roll, let kids squish and play, the more it is rolled the biger the pretzels get. Make pretzel shapes or my kids like to make initials and braids... beat egg and brush over pretzels, sprinkle with salt and bake 10-12 minutes or until browned
