tell me about velour - does it keep skin dry?

if velour is against baby's skin, does it stay pretty dry, like fleece?

thanks!

so-so.
not as good as fleece or suedecloth, but better than cotton (or sherpa and Hemp).

I saw that SEZ has a PUL pocket with velour instead of fleece. I want to try it..but it's $21...so I think I'll wait until I can justify that!

Re: tell me about velour - does it keep skin dry?

it depends on the content of the velour. Typically (at least the stuff I use) velour is either 80/20 or more cotton/poly content. The higher the cotton content, the more absorbent it is. The more poly it has, the more it would just pass through and act like fleece with the stay dry properties but wouldn't offer any absorbency.

I have some %100 poly velour, and no, what I have is not stay dry.
