folding prefold ?

I am new to this prefold thing, so any links would help! I try the bikini twist but within a few minutes it is baggy in the crotch. I am using a snappi to fasten it. Any other ways to fold them? The bikini works good b/c I need all I can get in the width. TIA!

Re: folding prefold ?

I had to let the rise be long in the back, and short in the front. Like under tha belly. Then snappi it. Make sure it's nice and snug. Then a snug wrap is also going to help keep the pf snug and not saggy!

Re: folding prefold ?

I have to fold the front a little so that the waist is smaller to avoid the bagginess. And I like the rise in the front lower, too. You can accomplish this with a snappi - twist, bring it up and snug around the babe before you snappi.

If that makes any sense???

Re: folding prefold ?

I use something similar to the newspaper fold and the 'angel wing' fold in one. Here is a pic of when DH tried to do it, but you can get an idea of how it's done.

I lay the PF flat, put Harley so that the back lines up with his belly button, fold the front in thirds, pull it up over him, fold about an inch back down and open it. Then I snappi it good a snug...I've never had a problem with it this way, but DH is still learning. lol

I can get you some step-by-step pics if you want...just PM me.

If it wasn't for that site, I wouldn't have a clue, well I still have troubles with a few of the folds, but at least I have an idea now! I wish someone would come over and teach me!! Only a month until my mom is here and she knows what to do...or Meg, if you read this TEACH ME!! LOL!
